Caroline Bunce

Psychotherapist/ Dramatherapist

About Me

My Masters in Dramatherapy has qualified me to work in conventional forms of talking therapy as well as offering a creative approach if appropriate and suitable for the client. My work embraces many forms of therapy, but my focus is entirely on being alongside the client and offering a discreet, respectful, individualised response to their needs. I’m passionate about supporting those experiencing distress and aim to help explore their experience, reach an understanding of their feelings, and to identify ways of managing them. I try to encourage the client to work with self compassion and curiosity in order to find the answers and strategies they need.

My Practice / The Way I Work

First Meeting

When we first meet, I’ll be able to explain more about the way I work, and answer any questions or concerns. I will also give you a simple contract which provides all the details you need, and which you can consider in your own time following the meeting.

We will talk about your distress, what you hope for, and how we might work together. It’s very important that you find the right therapist for you, and also that I feel I can offer you what you need.

If we decide to go ahead, we will establish a starting date and time slot.

Treatment Sessions

My official notes are brief and anonymised, outlining the main themes of the session. I also keep my own more detailed notes. Both are kept in line with GDPR.

Recorded Notes

Initially our sessions will be focused on creating a good understanding of your circumstances and what you feel you need. I don’t apply a particular kind of therapy in response, but use my experience of a variety of therapeutic approaches to provide what I believe will be best suited to you.

£65

Each session is an hour. Please let me know of any access requirements you have, so I can make suitable arrangements with the venue.

Ongoing Sessions

Initial Meeting

£40

The first meeting is often shorter than ongoing sessions, so the price is lower.

Concessions

£45

I don’t want to exclude anyone from therapy based on their ability to pay, so please let me know if you need a concessionary rate.
